VIEW ALL FAQsAt this time, only Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are eligible to apply. Applicants must also be at least 19 years old to qualify for financing. If you already have some flight training, previous licences or ratings may count toward your training in the program.
Life in Flight candidates can apply for a line of credit through a Canadian national bank to help cover flight training tuition at MFC Training, and in some cases, basic living expenses while studying. The program is designed to reduce the financial barrier of becoming a pilot. Candidates may also have access to scholarships and prizes through MFC Training and affiliated companies.
The program covers the training needed to become a commercial pilot and includes the steps required to earn an Instructor Rating. Candidates then build flight experience as instructors, with the goal of reaching 1,500 hours of flying time. After that, graduates are guaranteed a rewarding five-year position within the company family.
Pilot salary depends on experience, job type, and the aircraft flown. In the EIC family, starting salaries typically range from $40,000 to $60,000 annually. More experienced pilots can earn over $160,000, with competitive pay and benefits across different roles.
